Dr. Scott Barnard

Dr. Scott Barnard was born and raised in Ohio and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Ohio State University in 1990. Upon graduation, he moved to North Carolina where he practiced small animal medicine for 17 years - four of those being spent in emergency/ trauma medicine. Dr. Barnard was also the treasurer for the North Carolina Academy of Small Animal Medicine from 1995-2006 and is a member of the AVMA. His special interests include critical care, geriatric medicine, cardiology, dermatology, surgery and small animal exotics (ferrets, rabbits, and small rodents). Dr. Barnard is married to his high school sweetheart, Carolyn, and they have four children: Zachary, Joshua, Jacob, and Rebecca. In his spare time, Dr. Barnard enjoys being an assistant coach for his children's baseball and softball teams, swimming, and other various outdoor activities with their two dogs Sid and Emma.

Dr. Amber Conway

I was born and raised on a small farm in southwest Washington state. I did my undergraduate degree at Washington State University, and attended Veterinary school there as well. Go, Cougars! While I was attending college and studying Veterinary medicine, I worked as a Vet Tech at a clinic. After receiving my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016, I worked at a mixed animal practice in rural Arizona to gain further experience. I’m so happy to be joining the AZPetVet family. My particular areas of interests include Internal Medicine, small animal soft tissue surgery, and nutrition. I still enjoy consulting on equine medicine, although I don’t get those requests as often as in the past.

I live in the San Tan Valley with my heart dog, Grady plus Duke the horse and Brindi the bunny. In my spare time I enjoy riding my horse, baking, camping and traveling. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets soon!

Dr. Deanna Olson

I was raised in rural central Illinois, where my passion for animal medicine began. I attended Colorado State University and studied biochemistry. I continued my education at Colorado State University, earning my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. During this time, I worked as a veterinary technician at a small animal clinic and had the opportunity to treat wildlife in Thailand. My particular veterinary interests are nutrition and cardiology.

While outside of work, I love to play frisbee with my Golden Retriever, Tulsa, and hang out with my cat, Oaklie. I spend my free time hiking, camping, reading, and relaxing outside. I am thrilled to join the AZPetVet family! Together, we can help our furry family members live their best lives. I am eager to meet you and your pet soon!
