Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital and Grooming - PeoriaThe Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital & Grooming team consists of four veterinarians, a groomer, an office manager, and about eight support staff that all have you and your pets needs as our priorities. Our veterinarians are licensed to practice in Arizona and have a combined 25 years of experience, ensuring your pet will benefit from our experience, education, and up to date veterinary care and medicine. Having three doctors on staff allows us to discuss cases and share our knowledge on a daily basis. It also allows us to be fully staffed 7 days a week, so we can see you and your pet when it best fits your schedule and needs. Our staff also focuses on communication, and we have regular meetings to ensure we are offering the best care to every client and pet. Focusing on communication is one of our core values and allows us to meet our vision of providing compassionate, preventive, and quality medical and surgical veterinary care. All of our staff is provided continuing education so we can help you make the best health care decisions for your pet. At Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital we are all pet owners as well, so we understand the importance of pets in your life.
Dr. Mark KetchamI was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I graduated high school in West Babylon, a town 30 miles east of New York City. I studied animal science at Arizona State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. I received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. After working as a veterinarian in central Phoenix for 2½ years, I opened Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital, in November of 2000. I have one cat, "Pipi" and one dog, "Zuch." I enjoy the Arizona outdoors and spending time with my wife and children.
Dr. Chris SchneiderDr. Chris Schneider, originally from Tucson, attended the University of Arizona for his undergraduate work. After he graduated in 2008, he immediately went to Fort Collins, Colorado to obtain his DVM from Colorado State University. After May 2012, he moved with his veterinarian wife to Phoenix to work. After 6 months of relief work around the Valley, he took a permanent job with Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital. At home, he has two cattle dog mixes and two cats. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, particularly climbing and snowboarding.
Dr. Andrea CohenDr. Andrea Cohen grew up here in the Valley of the Sun. After graduating from Horizon High School, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Michigan State University, graduating in just 3 years. Following this, she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. She continued her education in veterinary medicine after graduation, completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in a large specialty practice in Middletown, Connecticut. She is happy to be back in the warm Phoenix weather with her two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a yellow Labrador Retriever. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and singing.
Dr. Katherine PeacheyDr. Katherine Peachey grew up in Norco, a small horse town in Southern California. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 2013. She then moved to Columbus, Ohio and obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2017. She and her husband then moved back out west, here to Phoenix, with their animals to be closer to family. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, riding her Arabian horses, and doing agility with her two Sheltie's, Harley and Stella.
Dr. Kimberly AlvarezI was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Arizona when I was 15 years old. I stayed in Arizona for my undergraduate degree and attended the University of Arizona. I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University in May 2019, and shortly after, joined the Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital & Grooming family. Although I’m passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, I’m most interested in small animal medicine and exotic pets.
I live with my 2 chihuahuas, pug, cat, and hamster. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family (including my fur family), watching TV and gardening.
