As the second wonderful organization we were able to collect for during this donation drive, our friends at GrandPaws Pantry were almost as excited as we were with the results! With collection bins at five of our valley locations, once again our amazing family – doctors, employees, and incredible clients – united to create a truly awesome impact.
From collars and leashes, to blankets, litter boxes, toys, food, treats and more, GrandPaws Pantry shelves got a little boost! With nearly 300 donated items, we had to be careful to leave room in the cars for the drivers when loading up the donations! In addition, with our partners matching the donations, a cash donation of $1,250 was also in the mix!

Packed top to bottom!
Squeeeeeze it in!
Uh…save room for the driver!
Thank you, everyone!
As we said previously, we are so proud, honored, excited, and humbled that together, we could help make such a wonderful impact for these great organizations in our community!
(If you missed the Part 1 results from the donation drive, see it here.)
Earlier this week, the folks from Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds stopped by to pickup the donations collected on their behalf at 15 of our valley locations. Truthfully, we could not be more proud, excited, and humbled that our INCREDIBLE family – doctors, employees, AND amazing clients – came together in such an incredible way.
An incredibly vast array of desperately needed items were collected, from blankets and towels, to beds, kennels & carriers, wet and dry food (cat & dog), harnesses, grooming tools & supplies, puppy pads, strollers, toys, litterboxes, clothes, and so much more.
Together, we generated:
– A total of 33 donation boxes, containing over 2,6oo items!
– It took 6 SUV’s filled top-to-bottom to transport the donations!
– Our partners matched the donations, and contributed $3,300 in cash!
Helping Hands all around!
This is just PART of the donations!
How much can we fit in here?
Stay tuned for Part 2…
UPDATE: See Part 2 of the donation drive results here!)
The holiday season is in full swing, and we are honored to be able to participate in helping secure meaningful donations for some wonderful non-profits. One of the organizations we are collecting for this year is GrandPaws Pantry, who’ve already stopped by some of our donation locations in Santa’s sleigh to pick up some of the goodies – check it out!
We will be collecting for GrandPaws Pantry and Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds THROUGH DECEMBER 31st, so please feel free to help if you can! To learn more about 1) what items each organization is looking for, and 2) where you can drop your donations, check our our blog with all the details here: AZPetVet 2017 Holiday Drive
This holiday season, members of the Arizona Pet Vet family are banding together to play not-so-secret Santa Paws for small community-based organizations that make a big difference for pets in need. Sometimes, these organizations make an even bigger difference for people. Like Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds.
It’s estimated that up to 25 percent of homeless people own a companion animal, and they will often do without food or medicine for themselves, simply so their beloved pets can eat. Regular veterinary visits, vaccinations, and other pet care services are simply out of reach. It’s heartbreaking.
Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds helps by providing food, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchips, and county licensure to pets owned by homeless people. 100% of the proceeds and donations benefit homeless-owned pets.
What They’re Wishing For:
Cat and dog food
Cat litter and scoopers
Cat treats (no catnip)
Clothes and booties
Dog harnesses and leashes
Natural jerky treats
Transport kennels and soft sided pet carriers
We’re collecting donations for Helping Hands for Homeless Hounds at the following AZPetVet locations until December 31, 2017. Let’s unleash some love and help them kick off the new year right!
