Arrowhead Ranch Animal Hospital and Grooming - GlendaleArrowhead Ranch Animal Hospital was founded in 1997 in the growing northwest valley of Phoenix, Arizona. Our veterinarians are licensed to practice in Arizona and have over 50 years of combined experience and a passion for innovative, caring medicine and surgery used to create a unique treatment plan to help each client and patient to the best of our ability. We are pet owners and lovers, allowing us to connect with our clients and patients in a very personal way.
Dr. Tom ArdeltI grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and now live in Glendale with my wife Judy and three children – twins Ryan and Elizabeth, and youngest daughter Lauren.
I received a Bachelor of Science in 1978 from Illinois State University, a Master’s of Science in 1986 from Illinois State University, and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 from the University of Florida. Then, I was an assistant professor of aquatic animal medicine at Mississippi State University before spending 3 years at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida where I treated and coordinated the healthcare of the many animals at the amusement park (i.e., fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and manatees). I joined the team at Arrowhead Ranch in 1999. My professional interests include education and helping others advance or learn.
Dr. Marty GlanzbergI grew up in Tucson as an avid animal lover. My work at a molecular biology lab spurred interest in science, and my love of animals made it an easy choice to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I now live in Peoria with my two rescued dogs, Laphonda the Golden Retriever and Pearl the Labrador Retriever.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in 2000. I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2004 and joined the team at Arrowhead Ranch shortly after. My professional interests include allergies, cardiology, and dentistry.
Dr. Kerry TarrI grew up in a small town in rural Ohio. My love of animals began at an early age as I spent countless hours at my father’s veterinary practice and helping on the family farm. I now live in Phoenix with my husband John, two daughters (Sophie and Lucy), and two miniature Australian Shepherds (Bumpers and Dottie).
I received my Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in 2004, my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2009, and joined the Arrowhead Ranch team shortly after. My professional interests include dentistry, soft tissue, orthopedic surgery, and arthritis management.
Dr. Lindsey O'ConnellI was born and raised here in Glendale, Arizona. Veterinary medicine has been an excellent way for me to blend my early love of animals with scientific curiosity.
I received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in 2013, and I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2018. I joined the Arrowhead Ranch team in 2018 upon returning to Glendale, where I currently live with my senior kitty, Phoebe. My professional interests include behavior, dentistry, and feline medicine.
Dr. Chelsea RandallI grew up in Naperville, Illinois. My work in a genetics lab, as well as a wildlife clinic, sparked my love of veterinary medicine. I now live in Phoenix with my husband Dennis and two Siberian Huskies (Crowley and Mariska).
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 2014 and my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2018. I joined the team at Arrowhead Ranch in 2018. My professional interests include preventative medicine, neurology, and exotics.
Dr. Sarah SchroederDr. Schroeder was born and raised in a small town of Illinois, about 50 miles outside of Chicago. Her time as an intern, veterinary assistant, and surgical technician at Hillcrest Animal Hospital is how she found her passion to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
Dr. Schroeder recently moved to Phoenix with her fiancé and high school sweetheart, Adam, and their crew of pets: A Black Lab (Zeke), 1 cat (Brooksie), a hedgehog (Harper), a Bearded Dragon, (Savannah) and a western hognose snake (Cheyenne). She received her undergraduate degree in biology at Western Illinois University and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University in 2019. Dr. Schroeder’s professional interests are neurology, dermatology, neonatal/theriogenology, pocket pets, and surgery. She is excited to be a part of the Arrowhead Ranch team! In her spare time, she enjoys being with friends and family, camping, hiking, wakeboarding, kayaking, and horseback riding.
